Hi,
can you telnet the Exchange ports from each Exchange Server to the other?
This can be done using telnet <IP-Address> <TCP Port>. In case everything
is o.k. you should estalish a session and recieve a blank telnet screen.
If you firewall blocks the packets then you should get an error. Regarding
NBT you can try to establish a NBT session by \\<IP-Address> from each
server to the other. If this all works, things should be fine.
Kind regards,
Jens Mickerts

Thema: Exchange and secure mail
hi folks,
first sorry my english. I know, this was discuss but i didnt understand
complately and i cant find information on technet . I tried this design on
my network but it wasnt work:
Clients
|
internet---firewall-------------------------LAN----------------
(checkpoint firewall-1) |
| Exchange server1(exc1)
| DMZ
Exchangeserver2(exc2 )
Clients connect to Exc2 and Exc2 sent all mail to Exc1 like mail relay.
Exc2
and Exc1 is in same site. Receiving mail from internet is not reaching to
client i mean exc1 isnt sending mails to exc2. I configured wins and
lmhosts
on exc1. Im seeing with ping command from exc1 to exc2.I configured
dedicated port on Exc1 and exc2 (1225,1226) . I couldnt log on to nt
domain
>from exc1(i log on first in LAN, then i put it to DMZ). Whats wrong?
Which
port i need to open on firewall? (i opened to nbt ports and exchange rpc
ports). I can try to alternate solution.
Thanx,
