Hi Dr. AVM,
I'm missing how your question relates to Microsoft security issues, which is the focus of this mailing list ...
In any event, you should look first at the OpenLDAP website, http://www.openldap.org, focusing on the FAQ-O-Matic and Man pages, then join one of the many Openldap mailing lists which are listed on their site.
One possible overlap which you didn't specifically mention could be using Microsoft based Kerberos 5 tickets to access an OpenLDAP directory. From my limited reading, OpenLDAP doesn't appear to support K5 yet, so this wouldn't be possible without a parallel non-MS K4 realm.
Good luck finding other resources for your questions. :)
Brian
