A similar problem occured on a few machines here. I was not able to connect
to any website or internet service, including ftp, irc, icq, etc. After some
rebooting and trying out I discovered that the problem was related to the
services.exe file which tried to connect to the web. Since my firewall
blocks traffic from/for this application it could not connect. After opening
the firewall for services.exe everything worked fine again.
Anyone noticed this too?
Thomas.
