It might be good to also describe some sense of time scale for
newbies/joe_users. Most that I have talked to seem to think that
there is "some time" before the worm gets to them. That is, if it
started in Taiwan, it'll take a few hours or maybew a day to get to
them here in southern California. Most people don't think in terms of
connectivity webs. They then parley that perceived "safe time" into
reasons to wait on critical patches.
The other suggestions I've seen sound really good.
