Here (SPARC Solaris 7, RPM 2.5.5) so far no problems apart from the
terminfo package, which amazingly does not install correctly (stops
during file extraction and complains about a missing file but rpm2cpio
| cpio works fine for this package)

We even do build Solaris packages from within RPM in case something is
meant to be installed locally while RPM controls a NFS-shared software
installation base. :-)
