Firstly apologies for the slow updates and slow mailing list traffic last
week. We have had lots of stuff to do behind the scenes on the OWASP
project. We have both been making sure we are ready to accept content and
have been talking to various people to make sure we have the basics in
place. The web site has now had over 27,000 hits in less than two weeks.
Authors are writing content for the vuln classification section and Jeremiah
Grossman will be sending the drafts out this week on the mailing list as
    they are ready.

We have changed our dates to be realistic with the workload and also taking
into account things like the tutorials that will supplement the write-ups.
We realized we needed some context and supporting material. The
classification section will now run until the end of October, at which time
the testing methodology section will start.

Whilst we have had quite a few of the volunteers step up to the plate and
start writing attacks and vulnerabilities, there are still sections left. If
you are concerned that you may not be a world class expert in that subject,
ask others on the list and create a draft. Circulate it on the list and get
feedback. Mail Jeremiah Grossman at jeremiahwhitehatsec.com for details of
what sections are left and to get the sample template. This list and sample
will be going online this week.

On the web-site by the end of this week you will see.....

    Links

    Resources
            Tutorials
            HTTP 101
            Cookies
            Server Response Codes
            HTTP Methods
What is a web application ? (A short article explaining exactly what a web
    application is.....)

    Project Resources
            Bios (back up)

And on another note the mailing list name will change to
webappsecsecurityfocus.com during this week. I will send out another mail
about that when it has happened.

    Laters,

    Mark
