You may have noticed things were quiet on www.OWASP.org posts this week and
last week. It's is for no other reason than people have their heads down
writing content. We are hoping to have over 50% of the "Vulnerability
Classifications" online by next weekend. A huge thanks to Martin Eizner and
Dennis Groves for beyond the call of duty work so far. The web site still
attracts over 2,200 hits a day so I guess there are a lot of people waiting
for the content !
Some of us met in San Jose last night for the first time to talk about the
project. The minutes are online if your interested. You will also see most
of the dead links disappear this week. We are thinking about maybe using
www.slashcode.org or similar in the future subject to funding. On that note
we do need funding to initially buy a server and pay the hosting fees. We
are looking at long terms grants from gov research projects and commercial
entities etc but if anyone has deep pockets or good ideas, please mail us.
We have lots of important work to do including the testing methodology,
reference implementations and eventually even building a testing bed to
benchmark commercial tools !
Thanks
