Hi,
iDEFENSE Intelligence Operations has just released a research paper
on Peekabooty. Peekabooty is an anonymous web-browsing tool
similar to peer-to-peer file sharing programs such as Napster and
Morpheus. However, the purpose of Peekabooty is not to exchange
files and programs but rather to provide anonymous web browsing.
What makes Peekabooty unique is that each individual client node sends
and receives information directly by proxying and submitting the
requests of its neighbors without querying a centralized server.
This paper discusses the origins of Peekabooty and examines beta
version 0.7.5 for Windows as well as some of the program's future
technical capabilities.
The paper is available at http://www.idefense.com/peekabooty.html
