    Exactly. Unfortunately, news sources seldom contain enough details to
    make it possible to separate web application attacks from other kinds
    of attacks. What I hope, is that someone on this list has first or
    second hand information on some of the published attacks (or
    unpublished ones, if you dare share them with us), so that we would be
    able to classify them as web application attacks.
