DOS by ping? possible I suppose.

You don't say if they were all directed to the same
system. Maybe your system [62.5.7.17] appeared in
a user group mail with 20 or 30 thousand members
and thirteen of them read it about the same time
and decided to ping you to see if you were really
there. {i could've said something else here.}
