If you are talking about the Win32 version, then yes, there is no release of
1.8 for this platform yet -- unless that has changes in the last few days :)

I have been on the list a short time and have been seeing alot about version
1.8, but when I got to Snort.org it only has downloads for 1.7. Is it still
in Beta? How can I get It? Is it only available to Linix, Unix, Etc?
