Hi,

When I'm running snort it seems to me that it capture packets, and there
are no error messages, but whenever I quit, I'm getting this error message:

pcap_loop: read error: packetreceivepacket failed
exiting...
pcap_stats: packetgetstats error.

This error only happened when I'm running snort in dos prompt. I tried to
run it using snort-panel but the error doesn't appear?

Can anybody explain what this error thing is all about?

By the way, I'm using Win NT 4.0

Also,

is it correct to replace the $EXTERNAL_NET with the word any?
