Try to configure the sensor as localhost...

I've another problem with snortcenter, when I tried to customize the
implemented pluging output :"output trap_snmp" apparently without any
problem, but when I try to download the "new conf" into the sensor I
don't see any

Hi All,

I'm having some problems with snortcenter and require some help. I have
already checked the archives but my question was not answered so.....

My setup is as per the document written by Steve J. Scott and located at
http://superhac.com/snort.

Here is the problem, the sensor is on a separate system from the system
hosting SnortCenter, when I try to connect to the sensor from the
Console I get the following error;

hostname->eth1 Can't Connect to remote.host.201.92:2525 Retry Connecting

The sensor message is as follows

sh:xxxxremote.host.201.92:2525/index.cgi:No such file or directory It
should be noted that the xxxx is the last four digits in my password.

connecting directly with just https works and I can start and stop snort
etc....yet I continue to get the error with snortcenter.

The index.cgi file is located in the sensor/cgi directory. Reference in
the archives to a similar error was made and was concerning the path to
curl. I have verified curl is installed and the path is set up
correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
