Snort Win32 does not support PostgreSQL for no other reason than I haven't
had a PostgreSQL Win32 database to compile/test against. If there are a
base of people who express an interest in this combination, I don't have a
problem providing it. But there haven't been many requests for it over the
past few years. Before I commit to providing this combination, I'll need to
find out the legalities of distributing snort with PostgreSQL support
compiled into it. Not an issue under *nix because most installations are
compiled on-site. But for snort Win32 I don't want to open a potential
hornet's nest of GPL vs. BSD vs. whatever other license issues. At a
minimum, I'll look into it in the near future.
