PROBLEM SUMMARY
A potential security vulnerability has been identified in the HP
Tru64 UNIX CDE libdthelp.so software that may result in a local
user gaining unauthorized privileged access and possibly causing
a Denial of Service (DoS).

VERSIONS IMPACTED
The currently supported version of HP Tur64 UNIX V5.1 (BL20) only

RESOLUTION
HP is releasing the following Early Release Patch ERP kit.

The ERP kit uses dupatch to install and will not install over any
installed Customer Specific Patches (CSPs) that have file
intersections with the ERP. Contact your service provider for
assistance if the installation of the ERP is blocked by any of
your installed CSPs.

Note: The V5.1 PK6 (BL20) ERP kit has a file intersection with the

This ERP kit contains the libdthelp.so corrections from SSRT2373,
SSRT2374, SSRT2405, SRT2415, SSRT2416 and is designed to install
standalone or seamlessly over the previous SSRT2373, SSRT2374,
SSRT2405, SRT2415, SSRT2416 patch kit.
