Hmmm.. Whose cards? That's unusual since Token-Ring vendors often build
for SNA environments which frequently means LAA's (or is it LMA?)...
anyhow, a locally chosen address.
On the other hand, IBM's TR adapters don't have a promiscuous mode. Is
this perhaps what you're thinking of?
