We are pleased to announce the recent addition of the Security-Basics
mailing list to SecurityFocus.

The Security-Basics list is intended to provide a forum for the discussion
of basic issues, across the entire spectrum of the information security
field. It is the companion list to the new Basics Focus Area, and should
prove to be a useful forum for those seeking general understanding of any
or all security concepts. Even if you are an expert in your chosen
discipline (as many of you are, from reading the posts in these lists),
Security-Basics may still be a valuable resource for you to learn about
other sectors of the industry.
