I really have no experience in Bug Tracking, however I was able to repeat a
crash in Network Associates VirusScan NT Ver.4.0.2 about a half dozen times.

I was updating RealJukebox 7 basic with several new components. The
simultaneous install of the multipe components caused the program to close
before the update completed. The program responded with RealJukebox will
need to close and restart to complete installation. I clicked "OK" and the
program closed but did not restart. At the same time I recieved a Dr.Watson
error for VirusShield. Which then closed. Upon warmbooting the NT my
VirusShield was back up. I opened RealJukebox. Went to find updates. The
program immediatly responded with RealJukebox will need to close and restart
to complete installation and again VirusShield crashed. I repeated this a
couple of times with warm and cold boots. Same outcome.

I made a few mistakes before stopping to think about it. Such as not
recording the Dr.Watson error and deleteing RealJukebox to try reinstalling
(forgetting to record the installed components and exact version# first). I
am afraid I will not be able to give more information because of this.

Anyway, I am sending this anyway in hopes that someone else might notice it.
My fear, of course, being that if this is repeatable, someone could figure
out what causes the crash and use it to be able to shut down a persons
VirusShield with a script possibly then allowing them to infect the machine
    with a virus.

If I can find the install file and the combination of components to do it
again, I will preserve more of the information and send it to the list.

    Thanks,

    Claymore
