    Well I do know that the major financial institution in the UK for whom
    I worked in the early to mid nineties had all its buildings shielded.
    I know this for sure because when one entrance was remodelled, I saw
    the actual copper shielding being installed. Cell phone and pager
    service were also severely impacted by the shielding - usually no cell
    service at all, and if you did get a page, there would always be heaps
    of gibberish in with (or instead of) the text.
