Sorry for the intrusion, and I hope this isn't seen as spam or
advertising as this is not the intent.
As most of you know, I am no longer moderating Win2KSecAdvice due to
circumstances beyond my control. That being said, I have talked with
the other moderators of a new mailing list I have launched,
VulnWatch, and we have decided to cover certain Windows/Microsoft
related security issues. For example, we will not repost MS Security
Bulletins, and we will not post vulnerability announcements on
software packages that only .001% of the world uses. If it is a
common software package, and it is a major, exploitable vulnerability
it will be posted along with the already low traffic of other
operating system and device advisories.
So, if you are among the people who have emailed me in the past
complaining about high traffic mailing lists and/or advisories that
effect almost no one VulnWatch might be the place for you. If you
like the traffic, extra discussion, and receiving every possible
Windows Vulnerability announcement then Win2KSecAdvice
(www.windowsitsecurity.com), or NTBugtraq (www.ntbugtraq.com) are the
places for you.
I look forward to seeing some of you on the new mailing list.
